More Baseball
Well Vangie went to visit her mom this week and so it was the three guys home alone all weekend long. When she leaves I find the toilet seats in the house remain up and we seldom remember to flush. We also eat alot of frozen pizza.

The last couple days my schedule has been busy with the boys sporting events. Wednesday Max played baseball. Four out of five times at bat he hit the ball which was pitched by the coach and did not have to use the "T". He played pitchers and fielded a ball at the mound and made a good throw to first base getting the runner out. On Thursday Jake had a ball game, he hit 2 for 4 from the coach in the air and when he hit off the "t" showed some power. On a down note while playing in the dirt between second and first he was literally run down by a base runner. After a few tears I convinced him to return t

o the game. On Friday Jake had indoor soccer where he took a strong shot to the head with the ball. I bribed him with a gum ball and he got back out on the field and played some excellent defense. Today we had two games the first was with Jake where he went 0 for 4 in coach pitch but hit some nice shots from the "t" and the best part was he was not hit by anyone or anything. Max went 5 for 5 hitting from the coach but was thrown out at first base on a close play once. He also played short stop and field a strong hit to his position and then made a great throw to second base to get the force out. I am very tired this evening and looking forward to Vangie's return. However she is leaving me again next weekend to go to State College and party with her girl friends. Here are some pictures of the guys playing ball.
Easter

Usually Max wakes up around 6:00 AM and Jake sleeps till 8:30 AM. But they knew on Easter morning there would be treats hidden somewhere in the house. Needless to say they were up early and we had been up late. My sister Patti and her husband Jeff had come to stay with us and we took them out for a night on the town in the burg. No really, there are things to do here.
Anyway, we tried to stay away from treats in the basket and went with some bunny watches and glasses and some DuelMaster Cards and Some DuelMaster Hats. I got a hat too but no cards. Then it was out to brunch with some friends and then home again for a game of kick ball and a few Duels with the kids.
Not so many pictures this time, despite the excitement we were not so photogenic.
Baseball & Stuff

Well it's baseball season and Max and Jake are both playing T-Ball. Max and I had been practicing quite a bit. This year the coach pitches to the players. Max consistently hits good pitches but lacks power. Then suddenly Max had a tragic accident which put him on the 60 day DL. While riding his bike he struck a mail box and broke his arm. It's not a bad brake he will be in the cast 4 weeks. He loves the attention he gets because of the cast. His whole 1st grade class has signed it.

Jake just turned 5 on March 25th and had his birthday party at Chucky Cheese. Unfortunetly I had to leave and go back to work because someones house burned down. We got him a new bike for his birthday and I think we will work on learning to ride with no training wheels shortly. Which only means more trips to the emergency room. Jake is starting his first year of T-ball and is the youngest player on his team. We have been practicing quite a bit too. Jake is a very strong little guy but we need to work on coordination. Jake got his groove on with Chucky at his birthday bash.

Vangie and I went to a benefit dinner last week for the Hershey Symphonie. We learned to Ballroom dance. We weren't very good but learned this box thing and were able to get by. Hey, I've developed an ulcer. The clerical staff at work has named it Oscar. I've been unable to drink alchol or caffine for about two months now. People ask if I feel better now with out all the Mountain Dew coursing through my veins. The answer is a resounding no! I can't wait to feel better and get back on the juice. Vangie has me taking some strange herbs and tree barks to heel me. She is very into these all natrual herbal, granola, no pestiticide, health food stores. That crap is expensive!!! Yet at the same time buys things like cookie crisp. The other day I as I poured the organic milk over the cookie crisp I thought this organic thing might be ok, if it can magically turn junk food into health food!
