UNTI FAMILY
We were a strange little band of characters trudging through life sharing diseases and toothpaste, coveting one another's desserts, hiding shampoo, borrowing money, locking each other out of our rooms, inflicting pain and kissing to heal it in the same instant, loving, laughing, defending, and trying to figure out the common thread that bound us all together. ~Erma Bombeck

Time Flies
So I think I am almost recovered from the Tigers losing in the world series. I am trying to think positive about how far this team has come in the last couple of years. The way they lost was particularly frustrating. Multiple errors by the pitcher on throws to first or third base. I new it was getting bad when the Cardinal fans were holding up signs which read "hit it to the pitcher." I guess all the pine tar in the world couldn't fix that problem.Soccer games were cancelled due to rain this Saturday. Jake had a make up game on Sunday after noon and he scored two goals. He had a few break aways where he couldn't finish but this was the best game I have seen him play this year. I missed his four goal game while coaching Max's team.
We have our last soccer games this coming weekend. I believe the boys are going to start taking ice skating lessons this winter. Max is trying to decide if he wants to wrestle or play basketball as well. I will need to get both of them to a batting cage this winter to get ready for the spring.
This Tuesday is Trick or Treat in our neighborhood. Can't believe it's almost Thanksgiving. Time flies..........

At The Orchard
This weekend after our Saturday soccer games we rolled down to see my Sister and her Husband Jeff. We watched the tigers clinch the ALCS and then the Michigan game. We spent the night and on Sunday we went to an apple orchard. Jake got his face painted like a skull and we flung apples into a corn field. Thanks to Jeff and Patti for a great weekend.Wednesday, October 04, 2006

Well, I lost the charger for the digital camera and only recently found it under a pile of cloths. Over the last two weeks we have been going non-stop as usual with Soccer 4 days a week. Max has also joined cub scouts so we have been going to meetings and events there as well. I'll have pictures of the little man in his uniform shortly.
School seems to be going well, Max came home recently and advised us what reading and math baskets he is in and every other student in the class. He seems to be having a good time and getting along with his class mates. Jake has a lot of friends as well we hear about but he does not like to talk about school and what he did. It's like pulling teeth trying to get information out him, well Max is Mr. information overload.
We had our 11 year anniversary on the 16th of last month and Vangie wanted new floors in the dining room and living room. I sent her to the store to order some carpet and she came home with a bunch of wood in boxes. A special thanks to my brother in law Jeff who was very instrumental in assisting me with the lying of the floor in the dining room. Carpet for the living room is to be delivered and installed shortly. A week latter the mini-van started making horrific noises and since the rear hatchback no longer opened, the transmission was slipping and the car would randomly lock and unlock for no good reason we bought a new mini-van. So Jason if you reading this I hope you can understand my current financial constrains. I will likely not be signing up for the fantasy basketball league as I currently do not have the coin.
On a side note I have apparently been partying too hard and drinking too much dew. My ulcer has rebelled and I have been on a 5 day caffeine & alcohol free stretch. I miss the dew most of all, It sucks, but I guess I need to do this for a while. Hope all your families are well and maybe next time I will have some more pictures.
