School Pictures
So, Jake took this really bad school picture. It's so bad I have been laughing about it for weeks. Is that bad? I have been imitating the face at work for people and I am not certain I have gotten it right for them so here is the really thing. I gotta see if my mom has any really bad school pictures of me I can post? I'm sure I had my share.
Max was scientist of the week at school. His experiment involved a discussion on density and then he showed how a grape sank in water. Then he put the grape in sugar water and showed how it floated. I am told he did well but is a fast talker.
Getting Ready For Christmas
Well we've got our christmas shopping done, the lights are up outside and so is the tree. Jake had his Christmas Program this past week. Every year they tell the story of how Mary and Joseph come to have the baby in the manger. All the kids have to dress up as a character from the story. As the story is read the characters are called up from the audience. We usually have several Mary's, 15 Angels, and Many Many Shepards. The night before the play I was advised that Vangie had to work late and had book club so I would be put in charge of getting Jake to the play and in costume. So below are some photo's from the show and the outfit I put together for Jake. Of all the characters Jake decided to be an Inn Keeper. Turns out he was the only one who choose to play this part. Vangie helped the kids put together the ginger bread house below.
