Max Unti Lands On DL

On a hot summer day in Pennsylvania Max Unti found himself playing first base for the Upper Allen Purple Panthers. In the bottom of the second with two runners on the batter hit a ground ball to the second base. Max had to reach back toward home plate to make the grab but the runner was quick and reached the base at the same time as the throw. In the collision Max had his glove hand bent backwards and hit the dirt. The coaching staff rushed to his aid and he was escorted from the field to a nearby tree. After the inning he returned to the bench but failed to bat in the third before returning in the game for the fifth and sixth innings. He managed to Leg out a single in the fith and hit into a fielders choice in the sixth. The highlight of the game was a blast he drove to right center in the top of the second that scored two runs. After the game Max obtained treatment from the trainer (Mom) which conisted of children's Tylenol and a bath. He later complained of pain in the wrist that evening and again on Sunday morning. He was rushed to a nearby hospital for x-rays which came back negative for broken bones. He was diagnosed with a sprained wrist and has been ordered by the doctor to cease althletic activity for one week. The two sport star will be missing in action when his soccer team the Blue Demons play this afternoon. Try outs for the Baseball Allstar Team are scheduled for next Saturday however Max's status for this event are now officially listed as doubtfull. One can only hope that the firey speedster will recover quickly.
