Not been feeling well
I've had a bad cold for two weeks. My memory is a bit fogy, somewhere in there Vangie had a birthday. Happy Birthday! Me and four guys took 10 kids to a baseball game where I somehow came home with 8 loaves of bread? A strange man kept shoving them in my car while I was attempting to park. I made lots of french toast and Max started soccer. Kids got teacher assignments in the mail which always causes all the women in the neighborhood to start chattering about who got who and who's going to be in who's class. Max is going into third grade and Jake is going to be a first grader. This weekend we celebrated Vangie's birthday at a local bar with some friends and then the following morning Vangie and Max were signed up for a one mile fun run. When we got to there Jake decided he wanted to run and Vangie saw two girl friends and they were going to walk together. I was going to cut across the track and take pictures of the kids. The run began and after two hundred yards Jake gave up he was wheezing heavily. I ran over to him and we started walking the track togther and as he caught his breath he began running again. I had to walk/run along with him and ended up getting more exercise than Vangie I think. I had to pass off camera duties to her. Jake and I finished and had a good time but I think he is coming down with my cold. Max ran the whole mile and actually finnished ahead of most of the pack. Here are some pictures:
Didn't get too many good pictures of Max and my assistant who will go nameless missed him crossing the finish line. But here he is at the front of the pack in the red wearing the hat.
Here is Jake approaching the finish line and Max again off to the right watching his brother. Jake is carrying his favorite stuffed animal Peep. Also know as Mr. Peep and The Peepster. We went to an outdoor concert last night and Jake left Mr. Peep at the park. I took him back and we were able to recover The Peepster. Which is a good thing because I don't think I could deal with him carring around his second favorite stuffed animal Mr. Cocky who is a rooster.
